  Dim Sum is great here, other foods are a hit and miss, depending on the cook. Host quoted an hour of wait and she was on the dot. If you're here on the weekends, prepare to wait. The service has changed since the last few years, better than it was. Fried shrimp with head was very good, fried duck was salty. Tea was diluted and not fresh.

  I always liked this place. ALWAYS!!!! Fresh dim sums!!!! It’s incredible! Be prepared for the long line for waiting during the weekends though... try their fried shrimp dumplings!!!! It’s amazing!!!!! The oysters were fresh and tasty!!!! So yummy!!!! Didn’t like their beef organ soup (牛杂汤). My recommendation is to take your time to order!! Order one or two at a time and eat it fresh and hot and then get more!!!! Get their tea!!!! Super good for a reasonable price!! Just can’t say enough good things about them!!!
  
  PS: try their own red vinegar!! Good with their dumplings!!!

  Star Kitchen is no doubt home to some of Denver’s best dim sum. But they only serve it early. Dim Sum is not served after 2/3 pm depending on the day. Which is its only downside. Though the place is open late (stated as 11 on Saturdays though I found it to actually close ~9), if you come later, you’ll find just good Chinese fare. Just a reminder that its culturally brunch food... but that doesn’t help with the cravings!

  We just had a fantastic Christmas Dinner at Star Kitchen. With 8 people we waited less than an hour and it was worth the wait. The oyster mushrooms and mustard greens was so different and fantastic. The kids loved the sesame chicken and chicken and vegetables. Everything we ordered was cooked fo perfection and absolutely delicious.

  Dim sum here is fantastic, but be prepared to wait for a seat on the weekend. The restaurant opens at 10 and on Saturday or Sunday is packed tight by 10:15 or 10:20. Since dim sum is generally a leisurely activity, wait times can be long. The staff is great about turning tables though and keeping things rolling. They are attentive and courteous.
  The food is delicious. It has a very authentic flavor and feel. Make sure to try an egg tart or one of the sweet sesame taro rolls!
  For dinner this is still a great spot. The portions are well sized and again, the food is on point. The offerings are different than you might find at a more Americanized Chinese restaurant, but they still have the well known favorites. Dinner is also much less hectic and parking is easier.
  All in all I cannot recommend this place enough.
