  Great little campground! Much smaller “town” than Avalon. Only 1 store and restaurant/bar. Spots are on a hill. Higher ones more secluded, with panoramic views. Lower ones by water, but more foot traffic. Only boat Catalina Express from Long Beach. Each has a picnic table, fire pit, and metal grill. Snorkeling is a blast. Summer sells out easily. They deliver wood which is nice, because it’s 1/4 mile from stores and dock, so be prepared to carry your stuff over the hill! Review below, to the left and right of picture is the beach 10 steps away, so kind of misleading. Do your research online before you pick your spot. But the company could do a better job of showing you locations and photos of each spot online. The birds and animals are ruthless. Don’t leave your stuff out!

  Great place to camp if you love being in and around the water. Be mindful of the fact that anything you leave out overnight will be moist in the morning. Also, secure all your food from the critters. Krafty foxes and curious birds are plentiful. My recommendation is to pack all the booze you can from the mainland, it is very expensive in town. The guys who take care of the camp site do a great job!

  We stayed at campsite 3; it's right on the ocean. Bring a rain fly, as our fly was soaked in the morning. Thank goodness we had it. The outhouses didn't stink, which was refreshing. The beach shower didn't work at the time we were there, but there's coin showers in town. You get firewood and a firestarter brought in to you. I don't get all the moaning about distance, it's only 1/4 of a mile! I got up in the middle of the night to use the loo, and saw two deer just roaming from campsite to campsite enjoying the spoils of the day. We looked at each other, nodded, then each continued on.
