  Had some down time from work. Had my fishing rod in my car. Found the place on Google maps. Shallow waters. But there is fish in those waters. Large mouth bass.

  Good place for fishing. It is quiet and relaxing. However no good wildlife to photograph and lots of bugs. I couldn’t even see turtles in the water.

  Breathtakingly beautiful lake just on the outskirts of Haymarket and the backroads leading to Warrenton. I did a mini exploration as I wasn’t prepared for how many acres this lake was resting on ! There wasn’t anyone when I trekked on a Friday mid afternoon, the weather is changing all the time so with the lake and the winds and sunshine it was pleasant enough to walk around with pants and a button up . Again didn’t think to be trail blazing but there was so much to see I had to walk barefoot to experience how real it felt like being out in Mother Nature again . Great regional park for a dog walk or to read a book even

  Really nice facility. 2 lakes for fishing, canoeing. Picnic areas.nice trail system. Children summer camp options avail.
